Hi all, I am now another year older and hopefully wiser. I have really missed my old routine of regularly blogging and then checking in on you all each day. I can't say what is stopping me.
I guess the reality of our move is hitting me quite hard. And I am totally allowing all the feelings and concerns wash over me, in a sort of experimental way. Then I am handing each little worry or pain over to God in a way that I haven't done in years. The blessing of peace and reassurance of God's faithfulness to be has nearly overwhelmed me.
I have a real renewed interest in learning more regarding my faith; so books on Hubby's shelf that I would have walked right past a month ago, now I get them out and start to read. And don't get me started on prayer! I have rediscovered heartfelt and real prayer, not just for myself, for others.
Funny what a crisis can do, huh! And it really isn't a big crisis as far as most people might be concerned. So, praise the Lord! And may He continue to mold and shape me for His purposes.
What have I been up to all month?
SORTING THROUGH OUR STUFF FOR THE MOVE! which means:
-bagging some for goodwill -selling a bunch on ebay -pricing everything we will garage sale -labelling everything else by room for the packers.
DOING A BIT OF PERSONAL SPRINGCLEANING
-moving to a new place gives us that amazing chance to have a fresh start. To begin again with a clean slate. So I am really looking over this old girl with a magnifying glass. Inspecting and examining things well overdue. For instance I am currently working through and trying to rectify why I find parenting my boys so much easier and more natural than my precious little girl, who is a breeze in every way: so innocent, so God fearing, so personable and loving. I am currently pondering and planning how to be the best Mom ever for her. :)
SEEKING A DVD ON THE DUGGAR FAMILY
The Duggars are a family with 17 children. I have long been fascinated with them, but I cannot seem to find any of their four documetaries on DVD. If any of my American blog buddies know if there is a place in the States that does stock their DVDs please let me know.
