The Good, the Bad and the UGLy ( our week in brief)
The family has only had to endure my cooking for two days this week. On Wednesday night the swimming carnival had a sausage sizzle; and then last night and tonight we have eaten out at friends' places.
Roly had great success at the swimming carnival
Diva has worked things out with her seating partner and now they are getting along well.
Spindles is going to his best friends party tomorrow night.
Hubby has been enjoying the huge bag of cashews I bought him as a special treat. And his sore shoulder is totally better!
Hubby got a real milkshake maker (it's red of course), using his frequent flyer points)
The last couple of days has been a bit cooler. Topsy and I have been playing out on the trampoline. He has so much fun on it, and it is contagious.
Tomorrow ( after a clean up, and when Topsy is asleep,) is 'family Scoubidou String day'. Wretched , wretched trend. But it is using out creativity. And the kids ,especially Roly are excited about making the strings into........ stuff.
At the swimming carnival, Topsy was so grizzly he couldn't even stand to go into the water. We stayed to watch Roly's raft race at Topsy's expense. Thanks Topsy.
We've missed story time the last couple of nights being out late. Story time just settles everyone.
Both Roly and I have an overdue book on our card that we simply cannot find.
with Topsy up so much last night, I didn't get up till 7:30 this morning ,so DragonMommy had to come out and take over in order to get kids out the door by 8:15.
Despite not having any cooking mess to clean up tonight, the kitchen is a bit of a sty. Oh well, all my little slaves are home tomorrow ('narf narf ' I chuckle evilly, and rub my hands with relish.)
The kids let a parishoner into the house first thing this morning before I could stop them. Big Mama in all her tousled glory (wearing a pair of Hubby 's boxer shorts, no bra.... you're getting a visual, I can tell) was certainly something he won't forget soon.
